In this role, you'll lead the continued evolution and scaling of the Studio. You'll optimise operations, future-proof the organisation and integrate AI, automation and smart technologies into everyday workflows.
Drawing on your expertise in operations, packaging, AI and change management, you'll play a key role in transforming the Studio into a smarter, more scalable and future-ready organisation. You'll have the freedom to drive meaningful improvements and make a lasting impact on the Studio's continued growth and development.
The Role
- As Head of Studio, you'll be responsible for the operational leadership of the Studio and the successful delivery of all packaging projects. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
- You'll bring people, processes and technology together to build a scalable organisation where quality, efficiency and ownership are embedded in everything you do. Leveraging your expertise in operations, packaging, AI and change management, you'll prepare the Studio for its next phase of growth.
- You'll create the conditions that enable designers to perform at their very best while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Reporting directly to the COO, you'll have significant autonomy and responsibility to drive change across the organisation. Entrepreneurship, ownership and initiative are not only encouraged—they're expected.
What You'll Do
- Lead a multidisciplinary Studio team of approximately 15–20 professionals.
- Oversee planning, resource allocation, workflows, quality and the timely delivery of all packaging projects.
- Optimise and standardise operational processes, workflows and quality standards.
- Develop, monitor and improve KPIs relating to quality, productivity, lead times and operational performance.
- Introduce and implement AI, automation and other technology-driven innovations to improve efficiency, scalability and collaboration.
- Lead strategic improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence, organisational development and the continued evolution of the Studio.
- Safeguard packaging quality and brand consistency across all deliverables.
- Coach, develop and inspire team members while fostering ownership and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with international production partners, suppliers, external agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic business partner for Operations and other cross-functional teams.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Design Management, Industrial Design, Packaging Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Approximately 8–10 years of relevant experience in Packaging Design, Studio Operations, Creative Operations or Project Management.
- Experience within an international retail, FMCG, consumer goods or fast-growing scale-up environment.
- Hands-on experience in Packaging Design within an international organisation is essential.
- A strong operational mindset with a focus on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in process optimisation, change management and building scalable organisations.
- Experience implementing AI, automation or other digital innovations within operational environments.
- A strong understanding of design and branding, with the ability to safeguard packaging quality.
- Experience working with international production partners, suppliers and external agencies.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to take ownership and drive meaningful change.
- Full professional proficiency in English. Dutch is considered an advantage.
- Experience within an international design, packaging or product development environment.
- Knowledge of Operational Excellence, Lean or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
