Desired position: a role as brand strategist at an international agency or brand, where audience and culture are placed at the center:

  • Developing strategies that create real impact, from research to (re)positioning, and translating global strategy into local relevance.
  • Harnessing the emotional power of strategy: putting audience and culture first and translating this into a strong brand foundation and creative output, always based on audience research.
  • Translating client challenges and brand strategies into a guiding brand idea and creative execution.
  • Adapting global positioning into relevant local storytelling.
  • Conducting desk and field research (such as interviews and focus groups), turning observations into insights and translating them into strategic recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration and presentation skills, both internally and with clients.
  • Ambition to further grow in knowledge and experience, working and brainstorming alongside senior strategists and creatives.

Preferred agency/brand: a creative agency or brand, preferably in an international environment with international clients. Strong focus on inclusion and cultural relevance. Collaboration and drive to create high-end work together.

Personal/skills: strategically and analytically strong, curious, excellent social skills, outspoken empathy, strong presentation and communication skills, connector, stimulates collaboration, solution-oriented.

Experience: 5 years as Brand Strategist at a full-service agency:

  • Responsible for the repositioning of brands, e.g. towards a younger audience.
  • Guided the strategic transformation of brands into a platform.

Accounts: B2B, B2C / A-brands, industries incl. food & FMCG, sport & lifestyle, and cultural sector

Education: Master’s degree, Psychology

Languages: fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written.

Employment: available full-time for a permanent position.

Notice period: 1 month.

Region: Amsterdam area (commutable).

Salary indication: € 4.700–5.000,- gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on secondary benefits.
